Attention to Orders:
One of the benefits of having a Qualification Challenge take hold of so many people aboard our ship, is that the fruits of your labors in ensuring your educational levels are where they need to be results in a promotion at the appropriate time. This month, I am extremely pleased and terribly proud to announce the following five promotions aboard HMS Medusa, as confirmed by the Fifth Space Lord, RADM Lady Stephanie Taylor, SC, GS, Baroness Havelok.
— Order 1601-02.1: Having passed her promotion qualifications and accumulated the prerequisite time in grade, SAMANTHA DOLGOFF is hereby promoted to the rank of SPACER SECOND CLASS.
— Order 1601-02.2: Having passed his promotion qualifications and accumulated the prerequisite time in grade, BILL FARLEY, RMMC, is hereby promoted to the rank of PRIVATE FIRST CLASS.
— Order 1601-02.3: Having passed his promotion qualifications and under the policy set forth in waiving his final month of time in grade, ARNOLD COMEAU III, is hereby promoted to the rank of YEOMAN SECOND CLASS.
— Order 1601-02.4: Having passed his promotion qualifications and under the policy set forth in waiving his last two months of time in grade, DAVID GOLDSBERRY, is hereby promoted to the rank of COXSWAIN SECOND CLASS.
— Order 1601-02.5: Having passed her promotion qualifications and accumulated the prerequisite time in grade, Y. E. GARCIA, RMMC, is hereby promoted to the rank of PRIVATE FIRST CLASS.
Orders 02.1 through 02.4 are effective 18 January 2016. Order 02.5 is effective 26 January 2016. My congratulations to the above crewmembers for their diligence and example.
It is my hope that these five spacers and marines will prove inspiring to others as a product of what one can do to boost their involvement in this organization. I have high hopes for their continued participation as we move into 2016 as a club.
